MidAtlantic Paranormal Investigative Team

Sean. Co-founder of MidAtlantic Paranormal.

Sean started ‘ghost hunting’ way back in the time of parachute pants and flocks of seagulls. During the 80’s Sean and Carl (the other founder of MidAtlantic) became best friends and started investigating haunted places throughout Anne Arundel and Harford Counties in Maryland. From Spesutia Church to the Old Jericho Covered Bridge in Harford County to sneaking into RamsHead (we had a friend who worked there) and the MD State House. Shortly after our high school years, we both headed south to Charleston, SC for college and started sticking our noses into cemeteries throughout the south and old plantation homes.

Now, all grown up, Sean is the MidAtlantic Business Development Manager for a regulatory technology company and manages sales throughout the region. Having attended the Citadel and studied Political Science Sean ended up spending 5.5 years on Wall Street as an investment banker before returning home to Maryland to be near family and to leave the rat race of the Big Apple.

Carl. Co-founder of MidAtlantic Paranormal

Carl started hunting ghosts way back in the day when the idea of ghost hunting meant jumping in Carl or Sean’s car and heading to some urban legend site. Parking the car a distance from the intended area and sneaking around looking for some sign of an afterlife or paranormal existence. Then, during college the two continued their shenanigans and continued to visit those supposedly ‘haunted’ places in the two counties where they grew up and Charleston, SC where they went to college.

Carl studied Political Science at The Citadel and Frostburg State and is now a Staff Sergeant and combat veteran in the United States Army. Carl is a decorated combat veteran at that, having received the Army Commendation Medal with Valor Device having served through 209 combat missions. He also is a Senior Project Manager for a major construction company and he heads up construction projects of mid to hi-rise condominiums/apartments in the Baltimore-Washington corridor.

Jeff. Lead Investigator

Jeff has been involved with the MidAtlantic team since the early years. Actually, Jeff was one of the driving forces behind a more technical or scientific approach to the investigations that MidAtlantic was executing. Jeff runs his family’s business and is a Father of 4 year old twins. He also is a Tri-athlete and Certified Personal Trainer and an avid cyclist. Jeff attended AACC for college and is now a Certified Pedorthist.

JJ. Lead Investigator

JJ joined MidAtlantic about three years ago at the urging of the three founding members. Desperate for someone who understands technology, they figured their acquaintance with JJ made him an absolute no-brainer! JJ is a partner in a major information technology engineering/consulting firm located in Anne Arundel County. His understanding of ALL the technology involved in the investigation of the paranormal is unparalleled within the community. He is also one of the instigators that started our sojourns to European Battlefields, particularly Normandy in France and Hastings in the UK. He is presently putting together our travel plans for a trip to Belgium to investigate at Waterloo and then to Germany to investigate some WWII battlefields and some medieval fields of combat as well.

JJ attended Capital College for his Undergrad and Johns Hopkins for his Graduate degrees.

Bryan. Investigator

Partnered with JJ in business and ironically, an old college buddy of Carl’s, Bryan was also a no-brainer when it came time to expand the ranks of MidAtlantic Paranormal. Bryan’s contacts within the technology wholesale community has been a true blessing to the MidAtlantic team and his sense of humor and natural skepticism has served to compliment Sean’s over-exuberance and Carl’s extreme skepticism. Bryan has been an integral member of the Mid-atlantic team for almost 3 years now. Bryan attended Frostburg State.

David. Investigator

When we saw that TAPS had European team-members, we rushed right out and got us one. Just kidding. David has been a close friend of Sean’s for over 9 years and shortly after meeting, while Sean was on Wall Street, David joined Sean on a series of paranormal investigations of New York City pubs (only partially kidding). Despite heading back to the UK after a lengthy stay in the US, David and Sean kept in contact and eventually, Sean and Dave met back up on the UK side of the Pond and investigated several locations throughout the North Yorkshire, Lincoln and London regions of the UK. Since then, David has been an integral part in just about every Mid-atlantic Paranormal investigation over in Europe and several within the US. David attended Durham College in the UK and obtained an Undergrad Degree in Maths. He is presently pursuing an Graduate Degree.

John. Investigator in Training

JT or “New Guy” as he is often derisively referred to has been with MidAtlantic Paranormal for the past three years. We call him “New Guy” because…well, nobody knows. Seriously though, John is a very attentive investigator and brings his own brand of skepticism to the ranks of MidAtlantic Paranormal. John is a former All American Sailor and a graduate of Old Dominion University in Virginia. He is an avid sailor and has one of the finest dogs ever: Blue.

Jay. Investigator in Training

Possibly one of the sharpest IIT’s we’ve ever had, Jay is a natural skeptic as well but is a BIG fan of the macabre (but he is NOT one of those ‘Goth types’). Having run several haunted houses for charities in the Prince George’s County area of Maryland, he is the quintessential organizer and we just know one day he will be leading his own investigations. Jay is presently a Project Manager for a major construction company in the Baltimore Washington Corridor.

Jenny. Investigator in Training

If it weren’t for protocols (and hazing of course) then Jenny would be the head of this group. Despite her being very new to the organization, Jenny is, without a doubt, one of the most knowledgeable people we have EVER encountered when it comes to not only the paranormal but just about ANYTHING she chooses to involve herself with. She is not only beautiful (stand back guys, she’s married) she is absolutely brilliant and she keeps us ALL on our toes!
